On October 19, Albertans will vote in the provincial referendum. With voting day approaching, I want to share my thoughts directly and make sure you have the information you need to cast your ballot.
Being Albertan and being Canadian are one and the same for me. Alberta has helped build Canada, and I am enormously proud of both our province and our country.
My position is clear: I support Alberta remaining in Canada.
Alberta’s future — and our place in Canada — are on the ballot.
This is a consequential decision for our province and our country. Make a plan. Get out and vote on or before October 19.

Voting by Special Ballot
Special Ballots, also known as voting by mail, are available to all eligible electors. No reason is required to apply.
- Deadline to request or pick up a Special Ballot package: September 25, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
- Recommended mailing date: By October 9, 2026
- Deadline for Elections Alberta to receive your completed ballot: October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.
Completed Special Ballots must be returned by mail and cannot be delivered in person.
| Need a photocopy of your ID? |
| When voting by mail, Elections Alberta requires you to include a copy of accepted ID showing your name and current physical address with your Special Ballot package. |
| Our constituency office is happy to provide free photocopying of your ID for your Special Ballot package. No appointment is needed — simply stop by the office and my team will be happy to help. |
Completed Special Ballots must be returned by mail and cannot be delivered in person.
| Please note: In my recent householder, the special ballot application deadline was listed as October 9, 2026. At the time the householder was prepared and sent, that was the published deadline. Elections Alberta subsequently amended the deadline to September 25, 2026 to help ensure electors have enough time to receive and return their Special Ballots by mail before the legislated deadline. |
