Are you a young person looking for a summer job, or know someone who is?
The 2026 Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program is now underway — offering paid summer employment opportunities for young people right here in Edmonton Centre.
This year, our government is supporting up to 100,000 summer jobs for youth aged 15 to 30 across Canada — helping the young leaders of today to gain meaningful work experience, build skills, and take the next step in their careers.
Whether you’re a student, recent graduate, or simply looking to gain experience, there are a wide range of roles available in sectors like technology, construction, tourism, recreation, and the environment.

Supporting Youth, Every Step of the Way
Canada Summer Jobs is part of a broader effort to support young people in building their futures. Through our youth employment initiatives, we are:
- Expanding 55,000 work-integrated learning opportunities for post-secondary students through the Student Work Placement Program
- Delivering 20,000+ additional skills and work experience opportunities through the Youth Employment and Skills Strategy
- Making education more affordable by maintaining a 40% increase to Canada Student Grants and raising the weekly Canada Student Loan limit from $210 to $300 for the 2026–2027 school year
- Eliminating interest on federal student and apprenticeship loans since 2023, and expanding loan forgiveness for professionals working in rural and remote communities
These investments are helping young Canadians gain the experience, confidence, and connections they need to succeed — now and into the future.
