If you are currently enrolled in the CDCP, you must renew your coverage to remain eligible for the upcoming 2026–2027 benefit year.
Since its launch, the CDCP has helped make dental care more affordable and accessible for millions of Canadians. Over 6 million people are now covered, and more than 4 million have already received care — saving an average of $900 per year. In Alberta alone, over 206,000 residents have accessed care through the program.
To continue receiving coverage without interruption, it is important to complete your renewal on time.
Key Dates:
- Renewal period: April 15 to June 1, 2026
- Renewal deadline: June 1, 2026
- Current coverage ends: June 30, 2026
| If you do not renew by June 1, your coverage will end on June 30, 2026, and you may experience a gap in coverage. Any dental services received during this gap will not be reimbursed. |
How to Renew:
- By phone using the automated self‑serve system at 1‑833‑537‑4342
| Service Canada will also send renewal invitations with instructions to current members. |
Our government introduced the Canadian Dental Care Plan to lower costs and ensure Canadians can access the care they need. Regular oral health care is an important part of overall health, and we remain committed to making that care more accessible and affordable.
