PASSPORT

How do I apply for a passport?

To learn more about how to obtain a passport, visit one of the regional passport offices or apply online at the following link: Apply for a passport

Note: Urgent or express passport services may be available for emergency or compassionate reasons, on a case-by-case basis. These services are offered only to applicants who apply in person at a regional office and can provide proof to justify the urgency.

Can I submit my passport renewal application at the constituency office?

 EMPLOYMENT

How do I apply for Employment Insurance (EI)?

How do I obtain a Social Insurance Number (SIN)?

The Social Insurance Number (SIN) is a nine-digit number used in the administration of various Canadian government programs. You will require a SIN to work in Canada or to receive government benefits. To apply, update, or obtain a SIN, visit the following link: Social Insurance Number

 

 STUDENTS

What student loan programs are available to me?

Financial assistance, loans and grants are available to post-secondary students through both the provincial and federal government.

Where can I find information on Canadian universities?

 REQUEST A CERTIFICATE

How can I request a congratulatory message from Minister Olszewski?

If you or a loved one is celebrating a milestone birthday or anniversary, or if your organization is marking a special occasion, you can request a congratulatory message by emailing [email protected] 

Please provide advance notice to allow sufficient time to accommodate your request.

Can I request a certificate from the Prime Minister?

Yes. Upon request, the Prime Minister sends congratulatory certificates for special birthdays and anniversaries through the following link: Request a greeting from the Prime Minister

Can I request a certificate from the Governor General or His Majesty the King?

The Governor General of Canada sends birthday greetings to Canadians who are 90 years or older and to couples celebrating an anniversary of 50 years or more.

His Majesty the King sends birthday greetings to Canadians who are 100 years or older and to couples celebrating an anniversary of 60 years or more.
